Description
:  The model 53 is a moving gantry, fixed table, heavy duty machining center.  It is designed to rout, shape, bore and drill low profile materials such as hardwoods, softwoods, fiberboards (MDF), particle board, plastics and aluminum.  The ways on all axes are precision ground, hardened trackways with low friction linear bearings.  The machine base structure has steel mounting pads, each equipped with leveling bolts. The gantry construction consists of a heavy steel weldment of structural steel tubing and plates with internal steel bracing.

Spindle / Tooling
: 10HP Belt Driven 15,000 RPM Extended Duty Spindle Motor mounted to independent programmable Z axis. Accepts up to a 3/4" shank.  One manual tool change system with push button operated power draw bar, pre-set tooling fixture, two tapered tool holders.  Was originally equipped with one air drill (DeSoutter, 7HP, 4300 RPM).

:  High performance AC brushless servo drive system with feed speeds to 900 inches/minute.

480 Volt, 60 Hz, 3 phase power input.
Work Table
:  60 inch wide by 120 inch deep aluminum table work surface.  The table is equipped with two ports for vacuum hold down.
